Kokken Erwin Lauterbach foreslog en ostefortolkning af dild og de modne frø fra dildskærmen. Osten skulle smage af dild fra inderst til yderst. Vi tog udfordringen op, og resultatet blev Krondild – en fortolkning af dild i hvidskimmelost. Krondild får lov at syrne længe i det lille ostekar på Troldhede Mejeri. Kort før vi hælder osten på forme, tilfører ostemesteren dild via salt direkte i ostemassen. Til sidst vender vi osten i krondild. Smagen er domineret af krondildens nuancer af kommen, og osten har en blød konsistens. Smagen af dild er integreret i hele osten. Fra inderst til yderst.
